Join me for this three-week immersive course/workshop.

Creativity is a marriage of feminine and masculine energy. It is a regulator or tool of sublimation in the balance of living. When held consciously, we can derive great meaning from it. We live in a complex world filled with inflated masculine energy, making for stifled creative energy as the disavowed feminine is ignored. In this three-week course, we will explore the relationship between masculine and feminine energy in creativity through lecture, discussion, and arts-based experiential activities. Our goal is to better understand the role creativity can play in giving voice to the inner feminine in communion with masculine energy.

Materials for the class:

Must have:
Paper to write on and pen or pencil to write with.

Choose one of the following:
  • Canvas/canvas paper + acrylic paint
  • Paper/Bristol board + collage materials
  • Watercolor paper + watercolor paint
  • Air Dry Clay
  • Paper/Bristol board + drawing tools such as pens, pencils, color pencils, pastels, etc.

The Art of Storytelling: Finding Meaning Through Visual Artwork
4 Tuesdays in April 2023 - (4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th)
Course offered by: Jung Society of Washington (Online)
https://www.jung.org/event-4865813

Join us for a four-week immersive art workshop where process artwork will be created, and stories will be told and heard. We will explore symbolic storytelling using process artwork, a single piece of art that is created over the course of multiple sessions. By the end of this workshop, you will have gained access to a visual method of storytelling that allows for a deeper relationship to unconscious creative content. Each participant will explore visual storytelling as an act of playfulness and creative stretching. Participants will be invited to share as little or as much of the stories they create as they’d like. Although led by an art therapist, this experience is not clinical in nature or intended as a therapeutic intervention.
